2020 was a hard year for everyone booking and performing library entertainment. Libraries closed and in many cases all of their activities were cancelled. In the span of less than a month, 90% of my bookings were cancelled. I quickly bought equipment, set up a studio and pulled together a virtual show. A few of my booked libraries agreed to switch to virtual and fortunately those shows went really well. Unfortunately, many libraries felt they had to cancel.
Since we don't know what 2021 will hold, I'm giving libraries a variety of options: live indoor, live outdoor or virtual with the option to switch venues based on health orders and the general situation.
If your library will commit to switching rather than cancelling, that's great; we'll figure it out together. If you can't commit, you can choose to pay a $100 non-refundable deposit. If you rebook your show within one month, the deposit will be applied to my fee.
Without some guarantee of income, I can't afford to keep my calendar open for your shows; I hope you understand that and I hope you book Where the Wild Things Are for your 2021 Summer Reading Program!
